The Mystery of the Missing Cake

Anna’s mom baked a big chocolate cake for her birthday. “Don’t touch it until the party!” Mom said. Anna promised, but when she went to the kitchen later, the cake was gone! “Where’s my cake?” Anna asked. Her little brother, Ben, shrugged. “I didn’t take it.” Her dad said, “Maybe the dog ate it.” Anna searched everywhere. Finally, she found a trail of crumbs leading to the closet. She opened the door and saw Ben sitting there with chocolate all over his face. “Ben!” Anna said. “I just wanted a Ben said. Anna laughed and forgave him. They baked a new cake together, and it was even better than the first one.
