The Cat Who Saved the Day
Bella was a quiet cat who lived with an old lady named Mrs. Harper. Bella liked to nap, eat, and sit by the window. But one day, Bella became a hero. Mrs. Harper had gone to the market, leaving Bella alone. Suddenly, Bella heard a strange noise outside. She peeked through the curtains and saw smoke coming from the neighbor’s house. Bella cried, running in circles. The neighbor, Mr. Lee, was sleeping and didn’t notice the smoke. Bella jumped out the window, ran to his door, and scratched it loudly. Mr. Lee woke up and smelled the smoke. He ran outside and saw the fire. “Bella, you saved he said. The firetruck came quickly, and the firefighters put out the fire. Mrs. Harper returned and saw Bella sitting proudly on the porch. “My brave she said. From that day on, Bella was known as the town’s smartest and bravest cat.
