The Big Snowstorm
It is winter, and Anna is excited because it is snowing! She wakes up early and looks out the window. “Wow! There is so much snow!” she says.
Her mom says, “Let’s go outside and play in the snow, Anna.”
Anna puts on her warm clothes, and they go outside. The snow is soft and cold. Anna makes a snowman with a carrot for the nose and stones for the eyes.
Suddenly, the snow starts to fall harder. It gets very cold, and the wind blows strongly. Anna and her mom decide to go inside.
As they walk back to the house, Anna hears a sound. “What is that?” she asks.
Her mom looks around. “I think there is someone in the snow.”
They walk to the sound and find a little boy sitting on the ground. He looks scared. “I am lost,” he says.
Anna’s mom says, “Don’t worry, we will help you.” They take the boy inside their house to get warm.
The boy’s name is Ben. He tells Anna and her mom that he was playing in the snow and got lost. “I’m glad you found me,” he says.
Anna and her mom call Ben’s parents. Soon, his parents come to pick him up. “Thank you for helping Ben,” they say.
Anna smiles. “I’m happy to help,” she says.
