Luna and the Lost Fawn
Emma lived on the edge of a forest with her golden retriever, Luna. Luna was gentle and loved exploring the woods with Emma. One spring morning, while they were walking on a familiar trail, Luna stopped suddenly, her ears perked up. She led Emma off the path to a clearing, where they found a tiny fawn, weak and alone. Emma realized the fawn’s mother was nowhere to be found. Luna lay beside the fawn, licking it gently, as if comforting the frightened animal. Emma decided to take the fawn home temporarily, building a small shelter in the backyard. Luna took on the role of a protector, staying by the fawn’s side day and night. Over weeks, the fawn grew stronger, and Emma reached out to local wildlife experts, who helped prepare the fawn for release. When the day came to return the fawn to the forest, Luna seemed to understand, giving the fawn a final nuzzle before watching it disappear into the trees. Though it was bittersweet, Emma and Luna knew they had made a difference.
