The Lost Socks

Tom always lost his socks. Every morning, he could only find one sock.

One day, Tom decided to investigate. He followed his dog, Charlie, into the garden. Charlie was digging a hole. Tom looked inside and saw… socks!

There were blue socks, red socks, striped socks— every sock Tom had ever lost! “ Charlie!” Tom said. “ You’re the sock thief!” ”

Charlie wagged his tail and barked. He thought it was a fun game. Tom sighed and said, “ I guess I need new socks. ”
